SURF Installation Engineer – Offshore Project (Paris Based)
We are seeking a qualified SURF Installation Engineer to support a large-scale offshore project located in Suriname Block 58, with operations managed from Paris, France.
The selected consultant will contribute to the design, preparation, and installation of subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines (SURF), ensuring technical integrity and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
The role is resident in Paris and offers a long-term engagement (initial one-year contract, renewable until 2027).
Responsibilities
- Participate in SURF installation engineering activities and deliverables
- Support offshore installation campaigns and readiness reviews
- Interface with design, procurement, and project management teams
- Ensure compliance with HSE and technical standards
- Contribute to risk assessments and method statements
Must Have
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Offshore, or Subsea discipline)
- 5–10 years of experience in SURF or subsea installation projects
- Proficiency in offshore installation methods and procedures
- Experience with design analysis and subsea interfaces
- Fluent in English, strong reporting and documentation skills
Nice to have
- Previous experience with international offshore operators or EPCs
- Knowledge of deepwater field development
- Familiarity with engineering software (Orcaflex, Flexcom, etc.)
- French language skills (spoken and written)
