We are seeking a Solar Simulation & Performance Support Engineer to strengthen our R&D efforts in solar performance modeling and diagnostics.
You will play a key role in running and improving simulation workflows using SolarOPS, PVsyst, and SolarFarmer.
The position involves investigating plant performance anomalies, maintaining software reliability, and supporting solar resource assessments to optimize system efficiency and accuracy across operational and pilot sites.
Location: Palaiseau, France (Hybrid – Occasional Remote)
Duration: 6 months
Responsibilities
- Run and monitor solar performance simulations using SolarOPS, PVsyst, and SolarFarmer

Investigate anomalies in solar plant data and propose technical solutions

Provide support to internal teams on data sourcing, tool configuration, and performance analysis

Maintain and improve simulation software reliability through updates and fixes

Deliver analytical reports and benchmarking studies to support optimization decisions
Must Have

Strong experience with PVsyst, SolarFarmer, or equivalent simulation tools

Proven ability in solar performance diagnostics and data interpretation

Solid understanding of solar resource assessment and modeling principles

Analytical mindset and attention to detail in troubleshooting complex systems
- Fluent in English with excellent technical documentation skills .
Nice to have

Experience with SolarOPS or similar R&D environments
